Social media have brought new ways of telling stories and distributing them and have created their own narrative languages. Writers and filmmakers use these platforms as a tool for telling complex stories. The award-winning directing duo The Kissinger Twins will talk about interactive storytelling on Instagram. These interactive artists are the creative minds behind the @jacktorrancetrip handle, the Instagram adaptation of one of their works. How can we best use the possibilities and limitations of the app to create engaging stories? How can we use the visual capabilities Instagram provides for one's own artistic purposes? The artists will present the works created during the #Storytelling on Instagram workshops at the Digital Cultures conference.
