The Inkulinati are a mysterious group of illustrators who possessed an extraordinary substance: living ink. They crisscrossed medieval Europe, looking for worthy rivals to duel. When they found one, the brought together their books, creating battlefields in the margins, which they filled with their drawings of creatures. The illuminations came to life and engaged in fierce battles.
